So every now and then I need to do a shoot just to inspire myself, kinda get those creative juices flowing. I start by coming up with some random idea that I have probably had floating in my memory bank forever, then I build off of that. I start with thinking of the colors, props, locations, model/models…etc. Before I know I am off and running with a wild plan to shoot fairies!
I designed the fairy wings from sturdy wire, brown floral tape and paper towels. Her wreath is made from flowers and wire. I photographed our session over near Brattonsville Plantation in York SC, a must visit for history buffs! We shot just before the sun went down.
I have decide to shoot a collection of NicCole Photography Woodland Fairies portraits.
Meet……. FIDGET FIRE-GLOW
She lives beneath the tall grasses and beside dimly lit paths.
She can only be seen shortly before dusk of a brisk fall evening, when the crickets begin to chirp and toads take baths.
She carries the golden glow of fireflies to light the passage of Lord and Lady who may pass by.
She wears a teathered skirt and has wings made of twigs from willow trees, birds nest there and butterflies sleep.
Her wings need not be strong as she is very quick to hide as not to be seen by a passerby.
